Why do muslims claim the greatness of preislamic persian civilisation as an islamic achievement?

All the muslims ever brought to Persia was an oppressive ideology, poverty and desperation! The Aryan Zorastrian civilisation was taken over by Arab muslims and now their is nothing but poverty and desperation there!
