Why is it wrong for a jehovah's whitness to get a tattoo?

It is a matter of conscience. Be thoroughly convinced that it is with Jehovah in mind that you do or do not tattoo. I have one on my hand, it is Jah's name and the letters s.o.s. 8: 6 and the name Michael and a rainbow above a heart with flames, when i'm done. real obvious. I was baptized at 23, and i was 47 or so when i got it. no I am not disfellowshipped. i put it there for a reason, that is important only to me, Jehovah knows, of course!! might I say that many of the friends cannot wrap their minds around the fact that it is Jah's name, how am I supposed to hear them put me down for it, when it is Jah's name??? { not anyone in this forum but it has happened.} read what the slave has written, for it indeed is proof that it is not a disfellowshipping event, BUT!!!!
