Do you agree with the fact that thoughts of today's people, people here, becomes tomorrow's philosophy?

If you agree with me, why is your own definition of something, even when it is more sensible and more articulate than the so called original one, mocked at? If that can happen in science, the acceptance of refined definitions, why not here?
