What are the books that pga golfers refer to on the course?

Most of the PGA golfers who played Torre Pines have developed yardage books which contain distances from various points to the center of the green, distances from each tee position to hazards such as water holes, ravines, fairway bunkers, greenside bunkers, slopes around the greens to avoid, contour of the greens dangers in the back, plateaus on the greens and sizes of the plateaus. Each day they also get pin sheets which show the location of the pins and the distances from the front and the side they favor. The player has already knowledge of the contours. They have also calculated the speed of the greens, the grain and the direction in which it is growing . Between the book and the pinsheet they have most of the bases covered.
