What does it take to be a rodeo queen?

I met miss rodeo queen USA back in 2006. She was really nice and pretty and went to my church. lol Anyways I never got around to asking her but i was curiouse as to what is it that they have to do to become miss USA rodeo queen? What kind of talents, riding and training do you have to do? What is it like for those of you have gone to such a competition?
