Is he a real friend to me?

A real friend would love you for you. They may think something but they'd never say it. It sounds like this guy is a complete to you and you shouldn't take that from anyone especially not someone who is supposedly your friend. I know that sounds really cliche but you should probably stay away from him especially since he's causing self-esteem issues for you.
